Founded in 1961 by Charlie Pickens and his wife, Billie, Greenville Transformer Co. has grown significantly from its humble beginnings with just three employees. Today, we proudly employ more than 25 dedicated team members. Following Charlie’s passing in 1980, Billie took the reins as Owner/President, a position she held until her death in 2020. Their son, Steve, has been a key employee since 1973 and is now President, alongside his wife, Kellye, who serves as Vice-President. Together, they manage production and office operations. The third-generation Pickens, Ross Pickens, joined the company in 2020 as Sales Manager.

Our capabilities encompass a comprehensive range of services, allowing us to repair, rebuild, and recondition transformers of various sizes, from 5 KVA to 10,000 KVA. Our expertise spans a diverse array of units, including simple single-phase pole-type and dry-type distribution transformers, as well as more complex three-phase unit substation power transformers.

Our facility, situated on a 7-acre lot, houses over 4,000 transformers ready for reconditioning and shipment. To enhance our service, we operate a fleet of trucks that provides complimentary pickup and delivery throughout the Southwestern U.S. on scheduled runs, ensuring that our customers enjoy faster and more efficient service.
